Personality Matters: Avatar for Japanese Language Learning

In this project we developed a Japanese Professor ‘Avatar’ that would switch personalities based on interaction with the learner. We investigated the effect of the tutor’s personality on the students Japanese language learning experience. This was published in ACM Augmented Humans conference 2026.
